The altarpiece was subjected to an exhaustive technical analysis.During a second technical examination, supported by the Jheronimus Bosch Art Centre ?s-Hertogenbosch, colleagues from the University of Antwerp led by Geert Van der Snickt carried out Macro-XRF scans of the entire altarpiece. The initial results were published in February 2018 in Burlington Magazine. All the images will soon be available online to researchers and the interested public.
